Hudson Harris is a strategy consultant who is passionate about helping organizations solve complex social issues. Hudson is a California attorney, holds an MBA in Marketing, MA in International Business, and is accredited by the Intl. Assoc. of Privacy Professionals. He is an active supporter of the American Assoc. of Suicidology and Six Feet Over.
Hudson is a skilled designer who drives change through technology and collaboration to build a shared understanding that empowers teams. The diversity of his education and experience allowed Hudson to develop an intrinsically innovative approach to solving complex problems. His knowledge of data, human centered design, and the complexities in crafting cross-sector projects brings a unique approach to every engagement. He has earned a reputation for innovation that spans traditional boundaries to create inspired solutions that are sustainable and impactful.
In 2019, Hudson founded Pandon, a design consultancy that specializes in strategy and innovation for public and private entities. In the public sector, Hudson works with governments, schools, healthcare, and social service agencies to build better systems of care that integrate behavioral health and technology. In the private sector, Hudson innovates with organizations working on product design, consumer/patient experience, and artificial intelligence.
Hudson began work for San Diego County when Supervisor Nathan Fletcher brought him on to build a strategy to redesign the regional behavioral health system. He worked with elected officials, stakeholders, and the community to design a system of care driven by technology and powered by care coordination.
At the end of 2019, San Diego 211 engaged Hudson to facilitate an organizational restructure towards a client-centered care model and to support the growth of its Community Information Exchange. In early 2020, Hudson joined 211’s COVID-19 Command Staff to create a sustainable crisis response that both fulfilled its key duties and avoided staff burnout. In March of 2020, he began work with San Diego County’s Behavioral Health Services as a Population Health Strategist to design a data strategy that would support cross-sector care coordination, diversion, and behavioral health hubs. Today, Hudson’s work has expanded to include the California Children’s Hospital Association and its efforts to build a statewide collaborative for innovation.
Hudson speaks nationally on innovation, spreading the word about best practices, technology integration, and human centered design for organizations like Amazon, SAP, ONC, and HIMSS. He has appeared in Business Insider, Forbes, and at South by Southwest for the United Nations. Hudson was a recipient of the 2018 SAP Sapphire Digital Transformation award and the 2019 Sapphire Next-Gen Innovation award.
An outdoorsman, Hudson enjoys surfing, camping, and woodworking. He lives in San Diego with his two boys and his bulldog, Penny.
